Light on leaves

When I began to clearly see,

I first saw every tree leaf,

no longer a blur in green.

Each one shimmered in the sunlight,

some filtering softly,

some reflecting brilliantly.

Then, through the light of scripture,

I first saw Truly,

and the whole world shimmered for me.

Truth became Real, and

I could see true beauty shining all around me.

I hope you will stay a while and read

so that God's light can make truth real

for you

just as it did for me,

like sunlight on tree leaves.

In the Shadow of Thy Wings

From Refuge to Joy in the Lord A few days ago, God saved me… again. I prayed for His guidance, and His protection came to me before I opened my eyes in the morning. Having just experienced the loving perfection of His refuge, that felt like a warm embrace, the words of David’s prayer for the Lord’s refuge under the shadow of His wings were left impressed upon my heart.
